Tejas Longhorn and Donkey Ranch: Texas Ranch for Sale

It is rare to find custom construction on large acreage near the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas Metroplex. Also, the property includes rare partial mineral rights.
The 158.15 acre property is located just outside Whitewright Texas city limits, with quick access to stores/business (e.g. grocery, feed, hardware, bank, gas/fuel station, awesome restored movie theatre, barbershop, and post office). All of this yet with superb privacy.
You have optimal privacy with 736 feet of deeded private road as your access to the property. The private road has been upgraded with over 200 tons of gravel. The entrance road has two pole gates for security. The ranch has quick, convenient access to U.S. Hwy 69 (no back country roads to navigate through). There is also easy access for large trucks (the county road runs straight to the front gate; no difficulty turning large vehicles and trucks onto the ranch private road).
The land is situated so you could easily put in a runway. There also are several historic structures on the property dating back to the original homesteaders in the 1800’s.

Free-Range, Organic Chickens and Guineas
Included with our land is a “starter” flock of chickens and guineas. We have Barred Rock chickens--just like “Grandma” used to raise! The Barred Rock is one of the all time popular favorites in this country. Developed in New England in the early 1800's, it is an ideal American chicken. Prolific layers of brown eggs, the hens are not discouraged by cold weather. You’ll never have to buy eggs again! Also, their solid plumpness and yellow skin make a beautiful heavy roasting fowl.
Additionally another fun fowl we have are guineas. Once you get them started, they live and grow on bugs, insects and weed seeds. They newly hatched young are called keats and are very active from the start. Once guineas are grown they will range throughout your farmstead foraging for good and serving as you personal watchdogs by calling: Buckwheat! Buckwheat! to all strangers that pull into your yard. They are very enjoyable to watch running around.
We are firm believers in an organic lifestyle. We free-range all our chickens and guineas. No pesticides or hormones.

This is our barred rock rooster on the right. He loves to strut around and is very friendly. Some of our hens forage in the photo below.
This beautiful rooster on the left is a White Crested Black Polish. He has quite the personality. The crested polish represent a striking contrast in color with their body plumage of lustrous black and crests of white with a few black feathers.
Our flock of guineas come in many different colors: white, lavender, buff and pearl. They are very inquisitive and love to run together in a pack.
The back pasture pond is a popular watering hole. We have stocked Bluegill, Crappie and Bass in the pond for fishing. They are really growing big! The fishing is great!
